Best Business For Retirees 2018
I like to read statistics and the news like everyone else. The statistics that I've been reading about our retiring Baby Boomer generation is alarming. They make up the largest population in the US. Most of them are in their 50's and up. The states are dealing with such high numbers of retirees that there won't be enough funds in social security to help them supplement their income.
Some will be lucky enough to have pensions. Most companies have been doing away with pensions for retirees and have moved on to a 401K Savings Plan. Many Baby Boomers didn't want to put percentages of their pay aside each month and may be retiring empty handed.
I've had the opportunity to see first-handed how this is playing out. I'm the daughter of two retired parents. My father retired with a pension for himself and his spouse. However he's making $20,000 less per year. The cost of his medical insurance has gone up. His medical benefits have gone down. They've also dropped his dental benefits and he no longer has eye benefits. As we age our medical needs do increase unfortunately and the railroad has left him with many disadvantages. My mother is retired and expecting pension soon. She has no additional retirement. They have no savings. She is already a diabetic. She is also talking about going back to work part-time.
With so many unknowns, the future seems daunting and scary. There aren't many options in the public sector. As a result, many Baby Boomers have turned to at home businesses to supplement what income they have.
Making this decision should not come lightly. The FTC recently shut down one particular program called Digital Altitude. It was a network marketing company that was set up in levels. Each level you purchase exposed you to new training and new opportunities to make money. The cost of the program was pretty significant. I remember spending several minutes on the phone with a rep informing me how I should apply for a new credit card in order to pay for the program because I would not regret it. However I'm not out of my gourd!
I don't believe in paying thousands of dollars to a company just to be successful, especially when you don't know what you're putting your money into. Most well-rounded companies I've been a part of were actually pretty darn inexpensive to join and the training has been unbelievable.
That's why I'm voting myEcon as one of the best at-home businesses to be a part of in 2018. They've put over $400 million dollars back into their clients' pockets. They've helped clients create road maps to debt freedom. Their memberships also included a credit repair education program. The best part is they pay for every referral you bring to them. Their referral program pays out by the thousands each week.
Besides Baby Boomers, everyone in the US can benefit from credit repair. Most of us are barely handing on by the threads. Debt is rampant! I personally believe its due to lack of education regarding our finances. My personal goal is to become more educated about my own personal finances in 2018 and I know myEcon will help me get there!
